Does cold or heat affect the charge?
Yes, a lot. Lithium batteries do not like extreme temperatures. Most stations will not recharge below 0°C to protect the battery. A strong heat (e.g., a station in direct sunlight inside a car) can also slow down or stop the charge for safety.
